Kate, Bradford Ladies are the nearest established club to huddersfield. We have a few players from your area and you're very welcome to come down and see what you think. Have a look at our website at http://s-n-media.members.beeb.net/blcc/ where you can find contact numbers

Women's cricket is really starting to come of age. Why do you think there has been a move towards equality?what has preventing it from being toatally achieved?

Does anyone know of any cricket leagues for women in the United States of America especially in the New England region. There seem to be a few associations for men but nothing for women! Would love to be able to play the game again.

Reply to "Curious" - thanks for your comments - CricInfo has an ongoing dialogue with South Africa Women's Cricket and the IWCC covering a number of issues, including future coverage of, and support for, international cricket. We thoroughly enjoyed bringing the 2000 Tournament to our users, and feel that our involvement helped to raise the profile of the tournament and of women's cricket as a whole. We have been quite overwhelmed by the positive feedback from cricket fans - and feel it resulted in a large number of "converts" to the women's game. To coin an overused phrase, "watch this space".

Reply for Valerie at Great Bedwyn Get in touch with Gill McConway or Lisa Drummond at the ECB at Lord's (gill.mcconway@ecb.co.uk) They can advise you of your Women's Cricket contact in your County (Wiltshire ???) Can also supply details of any clubs in your area with whom you can make fixtures.

Will CricInfo be sponsoring / covering the next Women's World Cup in 2004, or was this World Cup just a once-off? I think the coverage was excellent and dearly hope that we will be able to receive the same for the next World Cup.
