Rahul Dravid too had his slice of luck, Gilchrist failing to grab a diving catch to his left off the bowling of Gillespie. Dravid made 81 runs off 140 deliveries, cracking a dozen fours and a big straight six. He looked well set for a century, but was caught behind off Gillespie. Dravid and Tendulkar added 169 runs for the fifth wicket, a match winning partnership by all means as the possibility of a big Aussie lead was negated effectively.
