(2nd Test: India v England at Ahmedabad, 11-15 Dec 2001)
Mark Butcher (92), Nasser Hussain (50) and Michael Vaughan (31*) were the only batsmen to show some fight. With Graham Thorpe not playing the Test as he had to return home, England failed to put up a huge target with enough overs in hand. The visitors kept losing wickets in a hurry as all caution was thrown to the winds. For India, Harbhajan Singh (5/71) and Anil Kumble (3/118) were once again the bowling heroes. England were bowled out for 257 runs, setting India a target of 374 runs to be scored of a minimum of 97 overs.
