October 1st week
Indians are known to be artistic players but have not really been the
fittest. He's trying to give them that.
- Erapalli Prasanna on Indian coach John Wright.
You know when he is playing, the Indian side is hell of a lot better
side,
- Graeme Pollock on Sachin Tendulkar.
Speaking as a bowler, I think the best place to be last Friday during
the first Standard Bank One-Day International was where I was -
watching it on television.
- Allan Donald on the pitch for the first
Standard Bank one-day international.

that into the next game - who knows, they might struggle again and
might just collapse.
- Maurice Odumbe on his team's game against South
Africa.
At times, I'm not too sure whether the boys are more competitive on
the cricket field or on the golf course.
- Neil McKenzie, in his column
for the BBC.
It was okay to do so, say in England, where your body needs time to
get warmed up but not in places like this where you actually lose your
freshness in a real match.
- Sunil Gavaskar, on the Indian team having
a workout before the match..
The guy who could do well in South Africa, though, is Ajit
Agarkar...he was the one guy who made Gary (Kirsten) hurry his shots
every now and again.
- Allan Donald.
It is really disheartening that the Indian team is currently placed
at the 8th position among the nine Test playing nations. Time has come
when everybody should rise to the occasion to put it at the top,
- Jagmohan Dalmiya.
That's been my forte over the years, trying to hit a length, and I
managed to get it better today than I did two nights ago (against
India).
- Shaun Pollock, on his bowling against Kenya.
