Baroda's second engagement in the Ranji Trophy zone matches this
season was in November against formidable Mumbai at the familiar
surroundings of the IPCL Sports Complex. It
was going to be a crunch game for Zaheer Khan,
turning out for his adopted state Baroda against his former team

Zaheer destroys Bihar with 10 wicket haul
Baroda's first clash in the Super League this season was against Bihar
on home turf at the IPCL Sports Complex
in Baroda. Bihar won the toss and put their opponents in, only to see
them rattle up 360/6 on the opening day with Baroda skipper Tushar Arothe
blasting a rapid century. The next day Baroda extended their total to
499 before allowing their guests a look-in. Paceman Zaheer Khan
was one of the few failures for the home side, being taken out for a
sixth ball duck by his Bihar counterpart Mihir Diwakar.

Zaheer guides Trotters to first innings points
As a product of the MRF Pace Foundation,
Zaheer Khan turned out for Globe Trotters Sports Club, an MRF outfit, in the Tamil
Nadu Cricket Association first division league in Chennai in July
2000. A star studded team, Globe Trotters had four current or former
India players in their ranks,
Aashish Kapoor, WV Raman,
Hemang Badani
and Thiru Kumaran.
Their second encounter was against UFCC at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk.
