India's biggest hope Sachin Tendulkar began promisingly, even
creaming the metronomic Glenn McGrath for three fours in one
over. However, the loss of wickets at alarming intervals at the
other end, saw the Little Master retreat into his shell. After
playing circumspectly for 36 off 59 balls, Tendulkar was
eventually out when he walked across his stumps only to be
trapped lbw by a smart Gillespie slower ball.
