South Africa made a blistering start after winning the toss and
electing to bat against New Zealand on Sunday. Openers Herchelle
Gibbs and Graeme Smith did not take long in wading into the New
Zealand new-ball attack of Shane Bond and Andre Adams. With runs
flowing at a hectic pace, Jacob Oram (seen in picture) was
brought on first change after just two overs from Bond. But he
conceded a four rather early in his spell, which understandably
made him wince in reflection.
