Rain first intervened in the match when Namibia were 74/2 in the
16th over. After keeping the players off the field for 50
minutes, the persistent showers finally yielded ground to the
players. But just a little over nine overs after play had
resumed, rain intervened for the second time. The covers were
pulled out yet again and all precautions were taken to protect
the pitch. After a futile wait for some time longer during the
course of which the rain showed no sign of relenting, the match
was finally awarded to the Zimbabweans. The 86-run win that Heath
Streak's men earned from the match gave them four points.
