Styris went on to make 141 off 125 balls with three fours and six
sixes before his luck ran out and he became the last man to be
dismissed with New Zealand still 47 runs short of victory.
Despite his knock failing to secure his team's win, Styris at
least had the satisfaction of recording the second highest ODI
score by a New Zealander, behind Glenn Turner's epic unbeaten 171
against East Africa.
