Hayden and Bevan added 78 runs in 14 overs for the second wicket
partnership. Bevan was caught and bowled by Louis Burger for 17,
and Australia were 104/2 in 20 overs. Hayden was in rampant form,
striking the ball powerfully - hitting three sixes and nine
boundaries to race to 88 off just 73 balls. Hayden was unlucky
to miss out on his hundred, bowled by Louis Burger in the 24th
over, with the Australia score reading 140/3. Burger struck
again - getting rid of Ponting (2) in the 26th over, and
Australia's middle order was once again exposed.
