Canada v New Zealand - Action Replay

In the 45th over, it started to rain, the message was sent out to Boucher and Klusener that 229 runs was good enough by the end of it to win the game using the D/L method. Boucher hit the fifth ball of the over bowled by Muralitharan for a massive six, and then defended the last ball of that over. With the South Africa's score on 229/6, play was called off due to rain. Only when they returned back to the pavilion did Boucher realise that 229/6 was only good enough to tie the game! And indeed the game was tied, and once again South Africa were knocked out of a World Cup. New Zealand thus sneaked in through the back door, after South Africa's shocking exit. Shaun Pollock, and the whole nation was left in a state of shock, dismay and sorrow.
