Rahul Sanghvi was palpably surprised at being chosen for the Coca-Cola Cup in Sri Lanka. After being shabbily treated by the selectors during the Test series against Australia, Sanghvi could not have expected them to change their tune so soon. In the Mumbai Test, the left arm spinner was bowled for only ten overs, taking two wickets including Steve Waugh's, only to be 'rewarded' with the sack. Sanghvi was all set to leave for England with a team managed by Bishen Bedi when the unforeseen call-up arrived. Perhaps finally this under-rated bowler will get his just desserts.
