Have your say on women's cricket!

I was surprised to see Melissa Reynards comments after Yorkshires great win in the County Champioships last week. As a member of Bradford Ladies we struggle to get a team of 11 players every week and as each year goes by the average age of the team progressively gets older as younger players do not seem to get directed towards Bradford even if they live in the town. Posts in this forum have produced results and an eleven year old has also contacted the team in the last couple of weeks. However we have not seen the doubling of women/girl cricketers as has been reported in the press. Are there any plans for a cricket development officer for women in Yorkshire? http://s-n-menia.members.beeb.net/blcc

The IWCC was formed in February 1958 in Melbourne - 5 countries participated at that 1st meeting (Australia, England, NZ, South Africa and Holland by proxy). The purpose was to control international tours and to liaise between the various countries. Others to join at a later date were Trinidad-Tobago, Jamaica, India, Ireland and Denmark. Canada, Japan and Pakistan joined in 1996. The above info was found in The Oxford Companion to Australian Cricket, 1995.

To Jakoba from germany Deutscher Cricket Bund has a website, http://www.dcb-cricket.de , where you can find addresses for clubs in Germany. There is also a club in Husum that plays in the Danish tournament.

I'm interested in joining a womens (veterans) cricket team. Does anybody know of any teams playing in the Kent/East Sussex border area? (i.e. west or south west of Tunbridge Wells)

Does anybody know of a womens cricket team in the Swansea area? I'm willing to travel. I played cricket for my university team last year, and I'd like to keep training/playing over the summer. Thanks.
