Chasing totals of 300 runs or more is never easy. The pressure on teams
batting second is extremely high and very few batsmen have the will to go
after big totals of this kind. The one man who did have the gumption for
India on the day was Sachin Tendulkar. Launching himself into the
Australian bowling with gusto, Tendulkar played shots all around the park,
lofting the ball, driving along the ground and running hard. Tendulkar
raced to his half century off just 30 balls, hitting nine boundaries on the
way there.
