India were bundled out for 171 in their first innings. VVS Laxman top scored with an unbeaten 59. It was a top class team performance from the champion Test team, Australia. Glenn McGrath with the fantastic figures of 14-8-18-4, took the wind out of the sail, as the Indian innings went for a tailspin. Sachin Tendulkar, the kingpin of the Indian batting, fell to McGrath again, trapped in front of the wickets after having made ten runs.
