Dissapointed to hear that Murray Goodwin will be leaving Zimbabwe's team to play for WA.Will he be eligable to play the ODI's in Australia against the Windies & Aussies-the way things are going in Southern Africa it won't surprise me
if more follow. Such a shame!

RE- Murray Goodwin's retirement from international cricket
This is a major pity. Test cricket has just lost a genuine star, and the Zims have lost their only, consistently good player apart from Andy Flower.

Has anyone seen the west indies play against zimbabwe in the current tour in england? If so can they comment on the play of the west indians ... are we back on our way up?

Where is Andy Blignaut?

I am now in Sweden from Australia, and still following the progress of the Zim Team. The site, reports and info are excellent. Tack så mycket (Swedish)!
It is great to see Brian Murphy out there, I was at school with him. Good luck to all the Zim players for the rest of the tour.

I would like to congratulate the Zimbabwean team on all their wins whilst touring England...keep it up guy's. I would also like to know how I go about getting tickets for the 1DI's in London. Look forward to hearing from you.

It's good to see Grant Flower finding form. How good is Murray Goodwin going at the moment? Why isn't Blignaut in the one day squad?

I really think that Zimbabwe can play more often like they did in the second test if they have longer test series and better pay becoz they arent making any money really and becoz they r playing with pride and giving it their all for their country they deserve more. Also they should play the best teams more often like Australia, they have only played them once in a test match.

We thought the Zim team put up a tremendous performance at Trent Bridge and congratulations go to them. It takes tremendous courage to keep on coming out to play after defeats and it gave us all back in Zimbabwe a much needed boost. Grant Flower looks much better when he comes out attacking rather than being too defensive. Congratulations to him and Alistair Campbell for making good innings against Ireland. I firmly believe that we have a very good team and they will do well. They need to believe it too.

Hie guys, I hope the Zim team reads all these messages once in a while. I just want to congratulate the guys on their recent perfomance against England. Despite all the trouble back home, you have managed to concentrate well and play as a team. You are real sportsmen! Remember I was in Trinidad when you played West Indies????? I must have been the only Zim supporter there! Next time travel with extra flags so that supporters like me (who left their flags at home) can wave. Hie Nkala..( I saw your name in the local newspapers listed as Mlukeki!!hehehe, I am sure its not Mlukeki...or is it?hmmm), hie Johnson, Hie Murray.......way cool....a century!!!!!2 centuries....3 centuries!!! I heard you (Goodwin) got hit by a ball in Jamaica? Guess it wasn't too bad ha? Olonga hello! who else.....? Captain A. Flower hie, Blignaut hello.....hope I spelt it correct. By the way, are you guys ever going to come to Guyana? You know where Guyana is right??? Just next to Venezuela.....and Brazil......and Suriname.... Hope you will come maybe next year! Ya right! Anyway, seriously now, I would like to wish you all the very best of luck in England. When you play against West Indies, watch out for a young Guyanese batsman....Ramnaresh Sarwan, I guess you have heard about him by now. He may give you trouble! Anyway, I don't think he'll stand a chance with Heath Streak!!!!! Go Boys!!!
Greetings all the way from Guyana.

Is there anyway of talking to the Zim guys by email?

Zimbabwe looked a lot better team in the second test and showed how much they have matured over the time,to handle tough tours. The silver lining for them was their batting, that came good atlast! in english conditions.
good luck to them for triangular series!

Full marks to the Zimbabwean team! They really performed valiantly. They proved that they had completed a remarkable batting performance by demolishing the England batting line-up later. Full credit to them and their fighting spirit.

Has anyone else been very disappointed by Andy Flintoff's efforts in the last two tests? I've been hearing a lot about how he's improved his technique and that he no longer tries to belt the ball from Lord's to the Oval, but he was out to crass dismissals in both innings at Trent Bridge. His second-innings effort was particularly poor- his remit was simple- surely just to stay in and shore up the end Atherton couldn't guard. He failed to do that. I believe that he should be kept in the team for the West Indies series, but he should remember that the guy is not a front-line bowler and will probably be picked on his batting in future.
Having moaned though, I think rather than breast beating about how dreadful we are and about how the West Indies are going to slaughter us, we should give credit to Zim for playing bloody well at Trent Bridge in difficult circumstances.

England fast bowlers are not using
their heads. They tried too hard to blow
away the Zimbabwean batsmen. I believe
they are trying too hard to bowl fast
and their accuracy is sufering. On that
pitch a little slower bowlimg would have
produced the movement necessary to have
bowled out Zimbabwe and to have won the
match.
