HUNGERFORD PREPARE FOR 2001 - IF THEY CAN

We are all looking forward to a new cricket season with a lot of enthusiasm. We have Toby Radford as our SEPL Captain and welcome back to our club Alex Barr. Alex is a Hungerford 'boy' who played through the colts section and has left us on a number of occasions to attend university, Warwickshire and for the past season in Australia. Robbie Maier is rejoining us, he came here three years ago as our overseas player from SA, never returned and has been playing his cricket in Nprthamptonshire. Christo is coming back to Hungerford this year and he is to be our overseas player. We also welcome another 'old boy' Andy Ford formerly U S Portsmouth who has been away from our club for a few years now.

We are at present (mid April) still in an infected area regarding Foot and Mouth and our ability to play at home is curtailed by the enforcement of MAFF's efforts to contain this disease. This is being monitored regularly but we have not yet had the all clear.
