When Team Canada came into CWC 2003 they probably had two goals: to play for respect against the big 4 (SL, WI, RSA, NZ) in pool B, and to try and steal a win against their fellow minnows (Bangaldesh and Kenya). Part two of this mission has been accomplished in the most spectacular fashion imaginable - congratulations - now part 1 has to be completed with equal guts and determination, not just for Canada but for Scotland, Uganada and the US and Denamrk and all the other emergent nations trying to make their way in this crazy game. Keep up the good work and all the best from Sydney, Australia

Way to go! Top of the table - I hope you all clipped it out so you can all say that Canada was leading the World Cup of Cricket! Or more to the point, that YOU were leading the World Cup of Cricket

I am an Australian Cricket fan and I would like to say good job on your victory over Bangledesh. I think it is good to see Canada finally playing to their potential and I hope you go far in the World Cup, in fact, I wouldn't mind seeing Canada upset the cricket world and go all the way. Good Luck.

Fantastic result lads, well done. I'm an Aussie living in Vancouver and I ran around the office yesterday explaining to my work collegues how huge this was. Today I have the front page of the National Post on my wall. I only hope the CCA has the marketing skills and the right leadership to use this as a catalyst to promote the game here. Good luck for the rest of the tournament, head down, work hard and try your best to go 2-0 Peter

Hey there Good win. Great match. Good on you mate. Canadians have very good future in Cricket. I myself hail from Nepal, a country that has not reached the World Cup yet. However, I am sure, in my lifetime, we will meet each other in the World Cup. For sure. Cheers. Keep up the good works. Hope the Souther Hemisphere weather is not bothering you guys. Take care. Best of Nepali wishes from Hong Kong. Cheers Raja

Way to go Canucks! Maybe now our Government will give a little more than 21.00 dollars a day for food. We were truly underdogs(probably malnourished)that have gone to conquer our own apathy to what used to be our natinal game. All we need now is more support from other Canadians in spreading this valuable and entertaining game.

HELP! Would someone email me info for a TV listing for the WC games being shown in Canada? Have checked various sites and there are no listings, say this isn't so.

You've done yourselves proud, lads. Keep up the good work. I will be waiting for more solid performances like yesterday. You've done the sport (and yourselves) a tremedous service back at home and Canadians are proud of you. Finally, it isn't so hard to explain to people the rules of this amazing game!
