Go Canada Go. Go on and win another match. Congratulations to the Canadian team on the fantastic win against Bangladesh. Beating Kenya will be the icing on the cake. The Kenyans are are stronger team and we will have to be at our best. Go out play 200% of your ability and you will win. Having moved to Canada recently from India, the recent win is the best thing I have heard. I had written to the editor of the Vancouver Sun a week before the world cup expressing disappointment that the Canadian cricket team was not given any exposure even though they are representing our country. They never bothered to write a preview but you forced them to cover your win against Bangalesh and that to with a photograph to accompany the article. Do it again. Go Canada Go.

Congratulations Canada on winning your first ever World Cup match. If you win another, the ICC is surely to grant you the licence to play One Day Internations as a regular team and automatically qualify for future World Cups!! Make you country proud and show how good an underdog can be at the international level!!!

Congratulations to the miracle team! As a canadian now living in New Zealand (a real cricket-crazed country), I can stand up proud of my country, and not for hockey! We are all very proud of you, and want you to know that theres nothing you can lose now!

Congratulation! Well done boys. All members of the team and management deserve praise. Our bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping are up to the world standard. We have weakness in our batting. We must bat first, try to play full 50 overs and keep run rate above 3.8. We will win another one. Good luck.

Its greatest achievement of Canada in cricket. I am so happy after I wrote an article in Metro Toronto about the coverage of Cricket and Cricketers of Canada, which is now been happening everyday. This Victory is a real prize for me personally as the Canadian cricketers proved my writing was perfect. Thanks my loving Canadians and Canadian team. vasan

Being a Bangladeshi Canadian and a cricketer as well I was always a winner no matter whoever wins. However, Congratulation Team Canada. What a wonderful achievement from a land where there is no grass for more than half the year.

I just want to say that I am very proud of Team Canada in accomplishing a win against long timers Team Bangladesh. You have proven to yourself and the rest of the world that Team Canada is no push over and is maturing to be a team to be reckoned with. You have won over new fans. You have made a mark in Cricket history. Best of luck in the following matches. Your fans roar in support! -Marcello F.

Well done Canada. Let's hope that you can raise enough sponsorships with the strength of this win. It is absolutely unacceptable that we can only offer $40.00 per day for our Cricketers who represent Canada. Media support is crucial at this stage to get the exposure they need and strike some sponsorship deals to properly support our Cricketers. Ranil Mendis Mississauga

Congratulation Canada. It is must be nice feeling to been Bangladesh (a test team). I wish all the best in the future of cricket. I hope that you will become a perment member of the One-Day International teams. I think that you would be a better one-day team than the Bangladeshians.

As an avid cricket and an ex-South Africa, your first upset win has sparked a lot of interest in this game.Where there was sparse coverage prior to your victory, newspapers, radio ans evn TV have gotten on the bandwagon with extensive coverage. I am elated personally to be kept upto the minute on WCC in my old country. The Canadian team both cash strapped and consisting of players from 9 countries, has done us all proud, and this could be the stepping stone to taking on the powerhouses of cricket in the future. Congratulations!!! Pat Pillay, Simcoe, Ontario, canda.

Well done, guys. As an ex-pat Brit who has lived in Canada for 25 years now, I savour any cricket news I can get. The CBC has you on the radio, and even a few seconds on TV. Now if you can win another one, we may even get some highlights ...... Good luck against Kenya - you know you can do it !

You have done us proud! I saw WI against NZ at the Basin Reserve in Wellington just before Y2K...and became a cricket fan...though I was very drunk by the time WI got bowled out. Everyone in Canada is talking about you and following the matches...good luck against Kenya.

Congratulations on a deserved and well won victory! All Canadians should be proud of what you have accomplished and the difficulties overcome. Those of us living in SA and following the matches even more so. My motorcycle sports the maple leaf on its tank and I now ride with more pride than ever. See you in Centurion and Benoni. 'Keep On Truckin'!!
